this piece of news is pretty interesting. it totally reflects how everyday Chinese perceive mass media or online news, and people’s moral standard is largely based on the subjects and changeable. from the beginning, it said to be like a group of six police beaten a young and freshly graduated guy to death on the street. later, when we know that the guy is from a sports academy and got killed outside a night pub… people start to talk about bad images of students around such settings. then we saw the video showing the victim was kinda assaulting a police initially, apparently the guy lost his mind, kinda brutal, maybe stoned because of the fact he did drugs in the pub, he attacked one of six by bricks of some sorts, yada yada yada… then many (if not most) netizens turned to support six policemen. and finally the most definitive part of the story came… the guy’s father turned out to be a muthafukin real estate developer!!!! and the victim just got a position in human resource department in the city hall!!! people would say “holy shit… this guy is so dead!!! he and his parents won’t get any glimmer of empathy from anybody…”
